Adam Dougherty

Adam Dougherty, MD, MPH, FACEP, currently serves as the Chief of Emergency Medicine at Vituity since July 2017, with responsibilities that include Assistant Medical Director and Advocacy Director at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento. In addition to this role, Adam holds presidency at the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society, advocating for physician rights and community healthcare in El Dorado, Sacramento, and Yolo counties since January 2019. Adam has been the Vice President on the Board of Directors of California ACEP since September 2019 and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the California Medical Association since October 2020. Previous experience includes serving as Chief Medical Officer at SimX and on the Board of Directors for Physicians for a Healthy California. Adam's early career includes roles as a Resident Physician at UC Davis Medical Center and participation in the American Medical Association's Council on Science and Public Health. Education includes an MD from the University of California, Davis, an MPH from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, and a BA in Biological Sciences from UC Santa Barbara.
