Erin Carvel

Erin Carvel, MPA, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Processing Services at the California Franchise Tax Board, leading over 500 employees to efficiently process more than 22 million tax returns annually while overseeing initiatives to enhance service delivery in California. Erin's professional history includes significant leadership roles, such as Section Manager, where oversight of privacy and data protection programs was paramount, and Organization and Employee Development Manager, responsible for enhancing employee engagement and development opportunities. Previous experience includes positions at the California State Board of Equalization, where program safety and workforce planning were key focuses, and at Lyon County and the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, where expertise in child welfare systems was developed. Erin holds a Master of Public Administration in Organizational Leadership from National University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from the University of California, Davis.
