Amy Palmer

Amy Palmer currently serves as the Deputy Director of Crisis Communications and Public Affairs at the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services since April 2024. In addition, Amy holds the position of Deputy Secretary of Communications at the California Government Operations Agency since May 2020. Previous roles include Director of Communications and Public Relations at Covered California from September 2014 to April 2020, Principal at AAP Communications from February 2011 to September 2014, and Associate Secretary for External Affairs at the California Health and Human Services Agency from March 2007 to February 2011. Amy's educational background includes a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
