Gabriel Ravel

Gabriel Ravel is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in public service and healthcare law. Currently serving as Deputy Secretary and General Counsel for the California Government Operations Agency since August 2020, Gabriel has previously held roles including General Counsel for both the California Health and Human Services Agency and the California Department of Managed Health Care. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant General Counsel for the California Health Benefit Exchange and working as a Staff Attorney for the Northwest Justice Project. Gabriel's legal career began with a Law Clerk position in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Amherst College.
