Roy Kennedy

Roy Kennedy has an extensive background in communications and public relations. Currently serving as the Deputy Secretary of Communications at the California Government Operations Agency, Roy was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom in 2024. Prior to this role, Roy held various positions at Covered California, including Website and Administrative Branch Chief and Acting Deputy Director of Communications and Public Relations. Roy also worked at KXTV News10 as an Assignment Manager. Roy holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from California State University-Sacramento.
