Jacquelyn Garman has extensive work experience in the legal field, particularly in the healthcare industry. From 1980 to 2006, they worked as a Partner at Hanson Bridgett LLP, specializing in representing hospitals and medical staffs in various legal matters. In 2006, they joined Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland as the VP & General Counsel, a position they held until 2014. During this time, they provided legal counsel and oversaw legal representation for the hospital. From 2014 onwards, Garman has been working at the California Hospital Association as the Vice President, Legal Counsel. In this role, they coordinate legal representation and provides legal analysis and services to the association and its members. Jacquelyn then went on to pursue a Master of Arts (M.A.) in English at the same university, which they completed in 1977. Following this, they attended Stanford Law School, completing their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in 1980.
