Dr. Khaled Husni Abdul-Rahman

Dr. Khaled Husni Abdul-Rahman (Awad) serves as the Vice President of Power Systems and Market Technology at California ISO since July 2009, with previous roles including Executive Director of Power Systems & Smart Grid Technology Development and Director of Power Systems Technology Development. Dr. Abdul-Rahman's expertise spans the development of market applications for renewable integration, voltage stability analysis, demand response, and energy storage. Previous experience includes an Independent Principal Consultant position at Siemens, and Managing Principal Consultant at ECCO International. Dr. Abdul-Rahman holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) from Illinois Institute of Technology, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Kuwait University.
