Nitsa Dimitrakos, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in academia and clinical practice. Currently serving as a core faculty member and adjunct faculty in the Counseling Psychology Department at Pacifica Graduate Institute, Nitsa also holds an adjunct senior lecturer position at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Nitsa's previous role as clinical director and director of clinical training at Discovery Counseling Center involved facilitating training for master's and doctoral students in school counseling. Nitsa has contributed to higher education as a faculty member in abnormal psychology at UC Berkeley and as an adjunct faculty member at Ohlone College. In addition, Nitsa's experience includes internships, leadership roles, and community engagement initiatives, such as leading child-parent workshops at the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center. Nitsa earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and holds a master's degree in psychology from Saint Mary's College of California.
