Jake Viator

Jake Viator is an experienced audio engineer and consultant with a diverse background in live sound engineering, studio management, and teaching. Currently serving as the owner of Jake Viator Sound Design since June 2009, Viator has worked with notable clients such as Ariel Pink and Gilles Peterson. As a partner and studio manager at Stones Throw Studios, Viator oversees a full-service recording, mixing, and mastering studio. Additional roles include production manager at Stones Throw Records and audio engineer for NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Television Operations Department. Viator is also a music production instructor at California Institute of the Arts and previously taught at SAE Institute. Earlier career highlights include serving as chief engineer at dublab.com and earning a BA in Audio, Radio, and Writing from Emerson College in 2009.
