Julie Bour

Julie Bour is a prominent figure in the contemporary dance community, holding the position of Head of Master in Choreography and serving as faculty at the California Institute of the Arts since June 2013. As Co-Artistic Director of The Flying Mammoth since 2006, Julie has been instrumental in promoting contemporary dance and fostering interdisciplinary connections among artists. Julie's extensive experience as a freelance choreographer includes notable projects such as work for the film "La Danseuse," and collaborations with prestigious organizations like New York City Ballet and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. Additionally, Julie has a rich history of teaching across renowned institutions, including the Joffrey Ballet School and Juilliard, complementing an educational background from the Conservatoire National de Paris and Marius Petipa Conservatoire.
