Stuart Smith

Stuart Smith is an experienced professional in the fields of creative services and communications, currently serving as the Director of Creative Services at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) since May 2015. Previously, Stuart held the position of Visiting Faculty Member at CalArts from September 2008 to May 2022 and worked as the Art Director at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) from September 2012 to May 2015. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Graphic Designer at the J. Paul Getty Museum from November 2006 to May 2012. Stuart holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Graphic Design from the California Institute of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Liberal Arts and Sciences from The Evergreen State College.
