Nathan Hickling

Nathan Hickling is an experienced grants manager currently working at California Lutheran University since March 2023. Prior to this role, Nathan served as Community Impact Officer and Executive Assistant to the COO at Ventura County Community Foundation from July 2021 to February 2023, where responsibilities included managing the grants program and organizing community events. Nathan also held the position of Volunteer Coordinator and Case Manager at Lutheran Social Services Southern California, focusing on volunteer and emergency assistance programs from November 2019 to July 2021. Earlier experiences include working as a Research Assistant at California State University, Northridge, a Staff Writer for CSUN Sundial, and an intern in the office of State Senator Bob Hertzberg. Nathan holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and Government as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from California State University, Northridge.
