Dennis Cuevas-Romero

Dennis Cuevas-Romero has a diverse work experience in the government and legal sectors. Dennis is currently the Vice President of Government Affairs at the California Primary Care Association since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Legislative Advocate at the California Medical Association from April 2021 to September 2022. Dennis also served as a Legislative Advocate at the ACLU of Northern California from November 2019 to April 2021. Before that, Dennis worked as the Deputy Director - Division of Legislative Affairs at the California Department of Consumer Affairs from March 2018 to November 2019. Dennis also held the position of Government Relations Director at the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association from December 2016 to March 2018. Dennis's previous experience includes working as a Legislative Advocate at Hernandez Strategy Group from March 2013 to December 2016 and as a Graduate Law Clerk at Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County from January 2013 to March 2013. Dennis also gained experience as a Graduate Law Clerk at the Regional Human Rights/Fair Housing Commission from September 2012 to December 2012, where they provided legal support, offered legal information and mediation services, and conducted mediations in housing-related cases. In addition, Dennis interned at Refugees International Japan in January 2012 and worked as a Law Clerk at Opening Doors, Inc. from October 2011 to December 2011.

Dennis Cuevas-Romero obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Public Interest Law from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law. Dennis attended this law school from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they briefly studied International Law at the Temple University Japan Campus - James E. Beasley School of Law. Prior to their legal studies, Dennis completed their undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Art History.

In terms of certification, Dennis Cuevas-Romero obtained their Attorney license from the State Bar of California in December 2021.
