Katie Cappello

Katie Cappello has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2007, they worked as an English Teacher at Brookfield Elementary School, where they taught literature and language arts and organized various school events. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Freelance Writer/Editor, producing study guides, scoring standardized tests, and creating content for websites and apps. Starting in 2009, they joined the California Assisted Living Association, initially as a Public Affairs Associate, managing member communications and promoting assisted living. In 2015, they became the Director of Communications, overseeing communication strategies, member engagement, and magazine production. More recently, they joined the California Primary Care Association in 2023 as the Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications.

Katie Cappello earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature, General from Arizona State University, completing their studies from 1998 to 2002. Katie then pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing, which they completed from 2004 to 2007.
