Melissa Marshall

Melissa Marshall, MD, currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at the California Primary Care Association since 2024. Prior to this role, Melissa held multiple leadership positions at CommuniCare Health Centers, Inc. from 2015 to 2023, including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer. Furthermore, Melissa served as Chief Medical Officer at Community Health Center Network from 2011 to 2015 and was the Associate Medical Director at Family Care Health Centers from 2006 to 2011. Earlier in the career, Melissa practiced as a Physician at Corvallis Family Medicine from 2004 to 2006. Melissa's educational background includes a medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine, a residency in Family and Community Medicine from the University of California, Davis, and a Leadership and Performance Coaching Certification from Brown University School of Professional Studies. Additionally, Melissa completed the California Health Care Foundation Health Care Leadership Program from 2012 to 2014 and holds an AB in Religious Studies from Stanford University.
