Yvonne Marie Hairston is the CEO and President of The Hairston Group, where Yvonne Marie serves as a nonprofit consultant, life skills trainer, certified mediator, grant writer, notary public, and baker. Yvonne Marie also works as an Afterschool trainer at California School-Age Consortium, and was previously the Director of the Mediation Department at WEST ANGELES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Yvonne also worked as a Program Assistant at UCLA Extension, providing continuing education training for doctors and nurses. Yvonne Marie earned their Phd in Post Secondary and Adult Education from Capella University.

The California School-Age Consortium's mission is to support and advance professionals and organizations in providing quality and accessible out-of-school time programs. We accomplish this mission through our focus on fostering professional connections, enhancing competency, and building a community of leaders. Our vision is that afterschool and school-age care programs will be a public priority throughout California. Through our leadership, out-of-school time professionals and programs will be valued — like teachers and schools — as an essential service supported by government, business and community resources.
