The California School-Age Consortium's mission is to support and advance professionals and organizations in providing quality and accessible out-of-school time programs. We accomplish this mission through our focus on fostering professional connections, enhancing competency, and building a community of leaders.
 
Our vision is that afterschool and school-age care programs will be a public priority throughout California. Through our leadership, out-of-school time professionals and programs will be valued — like teachers and schools — as an essential service supported by government, business and community resources.

The Training and Development Team at the California School-Age Consortium (CalSAC) is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality professional development programs for out-of-school time professionals. Comprised of experienced trainers and educators, the team focuses on enhancing the skills and competencies of afterschool program staff through workshops, certifications, and tailored training sessions. Their goal is to ensure that these professionals are equipped to provide enriching, accessible, and effective programs for school-age children across California.
