You Zhao is an accomplished pianist and educator with extensive experience in collaborative piano and music instruction. Currently serving as a Staff Accompanist at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach, and an Accompanist at the California School of the Arts - San Gabriel Valley, You Zhao also holds positions as a Piano Instructor at the Semitone Institute of Music and La Cañada School of Music. Previous roles include Principal Piano for the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director for Nashville Opera, where responsibilities included education tours and artist coaching. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Musical Arts in Keyboard Collaborative Arts from USC Thornton School of Music, along with degrees from New England Conservatory of Music and Eastman School of Music.

California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley (CSArts-SGV) is a public charter school that provides its students with a creative, challenging, and nurturing environment while offering a rigorous college-preparatory education and pre-professional arts conservatory training.
