Yingfan Xu

Yingfan Xu is a Data Scientist and Instructor at California Science and Technology University since January 2019, responsible for teaching machine learning classes and leading AI Medicine projects, including the development of a deep learning CNN_DDI model for adverse drug-drug interactions. Previously, Yingfan served as a Data Scientist in Product Engineering at Western Digital Corp from 2012 to 2018, where extensive statistical analyses contributed to the successful launch of high-capacity HDD products. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Development Engineer at Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, focusing on advanced TMR sensor technologies. Yingfan holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from California Science and Technology University, a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, a Master's in Metal Physics from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, and a BS in Solid-State Physics from Lan Zhou University.
