Gerardo Bobadilla

Gerardo Bobadilla is the current OVW Project Specialist at California State University, Bakersfield. Prior to this, they worked as the Shelter Services Manager at the ALLIANCE AGAINST FAMILY VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT from January 2014 to June 2020. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating support and advocacy services to residential clients, monitoring the health, safety, and security of the shelter environment, and creating a welcoming, inclusive, and trauma-informed community living environment.

Gerardo has dedicated their career to helping others and fighting for social justice. Gerardo is a passionate advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and is committed to working towards a world where everyone can live free from violence and fear.

Gerardo Bobadilla has a Bachelor of Arts in Theirtory from California State University, Bakersfield and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the same school. Gerardo also has certification from the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force in Victim Advocate Training: Human Trafficking of Minors, Living Works in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, and the Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault in Sexual Assault Awareness Training and Domestic Violence Awareness.

Their manager is Marcus Brown, Director of Equity, Inclusion & Compliance. They are on a team with Jorge Villatoro - Equity, Inclusion and Compliance Specialist, Olivia Warren - Campus Advocate.
