Sivyu Chia

Sivyu Chia is a seasoned Learning Technologist at California State University, Long Beach since March 2011, specializing in support and testing for the Canvas Learning Management System and conducting academic technology workshops. Previously, as IT Coordinator for the College of Business, Sivyu developed and implemented a comprehensive student policies and procedures manual while overseeing the hiring, training, and supervision of over 15 graduate assistants and work-study students each semester. Prior experience includes roles as Office Manager at Designer Bath, where management of a team of 10 employees and the creation of optimized business systems were key responsibilities, and as Assistant Office Manager at Rebath of California, where customer database maintenance and appointment scheduling were primary tasks. Sivyu holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology & Media Leadership from California State University, Long Beach and a BA in Communications and Literature from UC San Diego.
