Aquiles Montoya

Aquiles Montoya is an experienced volleyball coach currently serving as the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at California State University, Northridge since April 2024. Prior to this role, Montoya held the position of Women's Volleyball Associate Head Coach and Director of Recruiting at Portland State University from January 2020 to April 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of the Division I Volleyball program and managing the recruiting process. Montoya also served as the Head Assistant Volleyball Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and Strength Coach at Pacific University from August 2017 to January 2020, and gained early experience at Grand Canyon University from August 2013 to February 2017 while earning a Master’s degree in Leadership, following a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Health Education from the same institution.
