Kacie Blackman, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Health Equity and Research Education (HERE) Center and the Department of Health Sciences at California State University, Northridge, since August 2018. Kacie also serves as a Research Analyst/Epidemiologist for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, where responsibilities include planning and evaluating complex research projects focused on public health services, particularly in STD prevention. Additionally, Kacie is an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, teaching various undergraduate and graduate courses. Past roles include a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health National Cancer Institute and positions at Virginia Tech. Kacie holds a PhD in Human Nutrition, Foods, & Exercise from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance from Howard University.
