Beth A. Steffel

Beth A. Steffel is an accomplished academic leader and educator with extensive experience in higher education, currently serving in multiple roles at California State University, Office of the Chancellor since June 2013, including Legislative Specialist and Immediate Past Chair of the Academic Senate for the California State University (ASCSU). Steffel is a member of various committees, such as the AI Workforce Acceleration Board, Civil Rights Implementation Oversight Committee, and ASCSU Fiscal and Governmental Affairs Executive Committee, and has contributed to initiatives focused on generative AI within the CSU system. In addition, Steffel is an Associate Professor of Design at California State University-San Bernardino, where expertise includes topics like the Internet of Things and digital design. Educational credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Electronic Art from the University of Cincinnati, and dual Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Graphic Design and Sculpture from The University of Akron, both earned magna cum laude.
