Fernando Barros

Fernando Barros joined CSI in November 2019 as Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration from Vale S.A. in Rio de Janeiro, one of CSI's two shareholding companies, where he has worked since 2003. He most recently served as Vale’s General Manager of Investor Relations. Prior to joining the Investor Relations Department, Fernando worked in Vale’s Budget and Performance Department covering the Iron Ore, Coal and Logistics business segments. He has also worked as the General Manager of tugboat operations for six different facilities spread throughout Brazil, as Vale’s Shipping Market Intelligence General Manager and as the Administrative and Finance Manager at Docenave, the shipping company subsidiary of Vale. Fernando graduated from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. He also holds an MBA in Marketing from Pontíficia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral.
