Vishal Khanapure

Vishal Khanapure has a strong background in software engineering and development. Vishal is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Caliper Corporation since June 2020. Prior to this, they gained extensive experience at the University of Florida, where they served as a Software Engineering Manager from August 2017 to June 2020. In this role, they implemented a customer-focused business model, introduced Agile software development methods, and developed desktop and web applications using C#, WPF, and .NET. Additionally, they served as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead at the university from September 2010 to August 2017, where they were responsible for architecture and development of the Highway Capacity Software (HCS) and interaction with customers for technical support. Vishal also improved the maintainability of the website and database by writing technical documentation and refactoring code. Before joining the University of Florida, Vishal worked as a Software Developer from August 2008 to August 2010. Vishal gained early experience as a Software Developer intern at Infinite Energy, Inc. and as a Web Developer at the University of Florida in 2008. Vishal began their career as a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant in January 2006.

Vishal Khanapure has a diverse education history spanning multiple fields of study. From 2001 to 2005, they attended Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering.

Following their undergraduate studies, Vishal pursued a Master of Science degree at the University of Florida. From 2007 to 2009, they focused on Computer Engineering during their first master's program at the university. Then, in 2009 to 2010, they shifted their focus to Civil Engineering for their second Master of Science degree at the University of Florida.

In addition to their formal education, Vishal has obtained several certifications to enhance their skill set. In September 2020, they achieved a Python certification from HackerRank. Vishal also obtained a Managing at UF Certification from the University of Florida in May 2019. Vishal has also demonstrated their expertise in cloud computing by earning two certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS): AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in December 2021 and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner in June 2021. Furthermore, they completed Jenkins Essential Training through LinkedIn in October 2021.
