Andrea Bubendorfer (she/her)

Andrea Bubendorfer has extensive work experience in the field of applied technologies and research. Andrea started their career as a Learning Support Tutor at Wellington Polytechnic in 1996 and then worked as a Tutor at Whitireia Community Polytechnic in 1999. In 2000, they joined Industrial Research Ltd as a Research Scientist and held this position until 2013. At Industrial Research Ltd, they gained significant expertise in research and development. In 2013, Andrea joined Callaghan Innovation as a Senior Research Scientist and later served as the Team Leader of Microfabrication. Andrea then took on the role of Principal Scientist and Team Leader before becoming the Acting Group Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Applied Technologies at Callaghan Innovation. Andrea's diverse roles and experiences have contributed to their knowledge and expertise in the field of technology and research.

Andrea Bubendorfer (she/her) has a diverse education history. In 1999, they attended Whitireia Community Polytechnic and obtained a Certificate in Adult Teaching. Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Science with Honours in Chemistry from Victoria University of Wellington, completing it from 1996 to 1998. From 1994 to 1995, Andrea earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a science major from the same university. Earlier on, from 1991 to 1993, they attended Victoria University of Wellington, where they obtained a BSc degree with a double major in Maths and maths education.

Additionally, Andrea has obtained certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. In January 2021, they completed a certification on Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn, and in October 2017, they became an ICAgile Certified Professional through ICAgile.
