Biotechnologies Acting Group Leader at Callaghan Innovation

Paul Rose is an experienced professional in the biotechnology sector with a strong focus on bioprocessing and fermentation sciences. Currently serving as the Biotechnologies Acting Group Leader at Callaghan Innovation since September 2011, Paul oversees a PC2 fermentation and downstream processing suite, supervising projects from bench scale to 1,000 L pilot scale bioreactors. Previous roles include Senior Scientist at Callaghan Innovation, where Paul managed new process and product development projects for natural products in various industries. Paul has also held leadership positions, including Chair of the Board of Trustees at San Antonio School, and has extensive research experience as a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds, collaborating with major companies. Paul’s technical expertise is complemented by a PhD in Green Chemistry from the University of Leeds.
