Henrik Nilsson

Henrik Nilsson has held various roles throughout their career. Henrik is currently serving as the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Calliditas Therapeutics AB since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President of Operations at BioGaia AB from March 2020 to July 2021.

Before their role at BioGaia AB, Henrik worked at Bactiguard AB, where they served as the Global Quality & Regulatory Affairs Director from May 2019 to March 2020, and as the Global Quality Director from December 2017 to April 2019.

Henrik also worked at Orexo AB as the Head of Quality & SHE from November 2014 to November 2017, and as the Director Quality from May 2013 to October 2014.

Prior to their time at Orexo AB, Henrik had a long tenure at AstraZeneca, where they held various positions. Henrik served as the Integrated Supplier Evaluation Lead and Quality Assurance Executive in the Global External Sourcing division from October 2011 to April 2013 and from January 2003 to September 2011, respectively. Henrik also worked as the Associate Director Technical Support in Bulk Substance Production from January 2001 to December 2002 and as the Manager Plant Support from November 1999 to December 2000.

Henrik's earlier experience includes working as a Process Engineer at Astra Production Chemicals AB from June 1997 to October 1999.

Henrik Nilsson obtained their MSc in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology from 1989 to 1995. From 2000 to 2002, they pursued further education in Process Business Management at the University of Warwick.
