Erica Yee

Erica Yee is a data reporter at CalMatters since May 2020, previously serving as an Interactives Intern. With an extensive background in journalism, Erica was the editor at NU Sci, where responsibilities included writing and editing stories for a student-run science magazine and launching a monthly newsletter. Experience at the San Francisco Chronicle and SFGATE involved supporting interactive news projects using React and Node.js. Additional internships include writing for CNBC, producing content at Berkeley Lab, reporting for Boston.com, educating businesses as a Small Business Energy Ambassador for Net Impact, and community outreach for Alameda County CASA. Erica earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science and Journalism from Northeastern University from 2015 to 2020.
