Colin Scott

Lead Hardware Engineer at Calnex Solutions

Colin Scott has over 20 years of work experience in the field of hardware engineering. Colin began their career at Memory Corporation in 1998, where they designed electronic circuitry and the printed circuit board for a USB docking station for an MP3 player. Colin also wrote assembly code for the microprocessor in the docking station, enabling data transfer between the MP3 player and a PC.

In 2000, Colin joined Agilent Technologies as a Senior Hardware Engineer. Colin was responsible for designing electronic hardware boards and creating design rules for PCB engineers. Colin also integrated hardware with firmware, software, and other hardware boards to ensure functionality in Agilent Technologies products.

From 2003 to 2005, Colin worked at Sendo as a Senior Baseband Engineer. Colin designed baseband electronic circuits for GSM/GPRS mobile phone products, with a focus on low power consumption. Colin also handled high-speed digital design activities within the baseband team.

In 2005, Colin became the Baseband Team Leader at Motorola Mobile Devices. Colin led a diverse team of engineers in defining the architecture for the company's next generation of 3G mobile phone products and delivering a platform for other engineering teams to develop 3G mobile phone products.

Colin joined Nallatech in 2006 as a Senior Hardware Engineer. In this role, they handled all aspects of electronic hardware design for military and aerospace products. Colin designed schematics, managed component placement and routing of PCBs, and created custom heat-frames for products to operate in various system conditions.

Since 2011, Colin has been working at Calnex Solutions Ltd. as the Lead Hardware Engineer. Colin has overall technical responsibility for the design of existing and new hardware products, leads the hardware team in development and integration processes, and defines the main architecture blocks and boards for products.

Colin Scott attended Denny High School, although their start and end years are not provided, thus making it difficult to determine the duration of their education there. Following their time at Denny High School, they enrolled at Edinburgh Napier University from 1995 to 1999. At the university, they pursued a BEng (Honours) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
