Jill Carey Yung

Jill Carey Yung is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in environmental and energy law. Currently serving as Managing Counsel at Calpine since May 2023, Jill previously held the position of Partner at Paul Hastings from September 2006 to April 2023, where expertise included advising on utility-scale solar energy projects, defending development approvals in court, and collaborating with government agencies to streamline project permitting. Previous roles included serving as Regulatory Attorney at BrightSource Energy, a Law Clerk in U.S. District Courts, and a consultant at PwC Consulting. Jill holds a J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a degree in Government and Economics from Dartmouth College.
