Thuan Chi joined CALSTART in 2022 as a Project Manager I in the Clean Fuels and Infrastructure team. She works on the Electric Truck Research and Utilization Center (eTRUC), California’s premier Research Hub for Electric Technologies in Truck Applications (RHETTA) project. Her focus is on community engagement, workforce development and technology development. She aims to incorporate equity and inclusive approaches to collaborate with industry, government and communities to drive technology adaptation in communities most impacted by climate change through this project.
Prior to joining CALSTART, Thuan worked in land use planning for a small consulting firm. In this position, she managed various land use entitlement projects through stakeholder engagement with businesses, local municipalities and state agencies. Her career spans the area of urban planning, environmental justice, and air quality policy. Thuan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
