Amie Adams, MBA, MIS has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Amie currently holds the position of Project Management Program Director at CalSTRS since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Manager of IT Planning, Performance & Customer Care at CalSTRS from September 2020 to November 2022.
Amie also has extensive experience at CalPERS, where they worked as a Senior Research Specialist in the Health Benefits Program from April 2014 to October 2015. In this role, they provided expertise and consultation on the effects of market changes on the program, conducted comprehensive research, and identified innovative health care strategies.
Before their time at CalPERS, Amie worked at the California Department of Toxic Substances Control. Amie held roles such as Cost Recovery Program Manager from March 2013 to April 2014 and Chief of Cost Recovery from July 2011 to March 2013. In these positions, they were responsible for managing cost recovery efforts, overseeing billing, and analyzing financial assurance mechanisms.
Amie's early career included a role as an Associate Account Manager at EnvisionRX Options from September 2009 to March 2010. In this position, they analyzed new product/client benefits and coordinated project plans.
Throughout their career, Amie has demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle complex projects, and expertise in various areas such as IT, research, and financial analysis.
Amie Adams, MBA, MIS, completed their Master of Business Administration in Business Administration and Executive Management from California State University-Sacramento in 2012. Amie also holds a Master of Information Systems in Information Technology from Phoenix. Amie has additional certifications in Business Analytics from Phoenix (obtained in 2020), Project Management Foundations from Lynda.com (obtained in 2019), and an ITIL Foundation Certification (obtained in 2015).
