Barb Newton

Barb Newton currently serves as President & CEO of CalTravel, the primary trade organization advocating for California's travel, tourism, and hospitality industries. With a robust career, Barb previously worked as an Independent Consultant, providing strategic business advice to clients such as AAA and General Mills, and led Sunset Publishing under Time Inc. through a successful transformation into a multi-media enterprise. During Barb's tenure as President of Reiman Media Group, revenue and profit declines were reversed through strategic leadership and brand development. Barb's foundational experience at Rodale Inc. involved ascending through multiple roles to become SVP and a member of the company's Executive Committee. Academic credentials include BA and MA degrees in English and Journalism from Lehigh University.
