Alexandra Kassis

Lead Bioinformatics Engineer at Calviri

Alexandra Kassis has worked in a variety of roles since 2017. In 2017, they were a Research Microbiologist at Arizona State University, where they designed and executed experiments to discover novel heterotrophic bacteria and lead salinity experiments. Alexandra also served as a Communication Officer. In 2018, they were a Biomedical Informatics Intern at Mayo Clinic and a Research Intern at The Kirby Institute, UNSW Australia. In 2020, they were a Lead Bioinformatics Engineer, Software Engineer and Research Assistant at CALVIRI, and a Virtual Helios Scholar at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen).

Alexandra Kassis earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Informatics from Arizona State University in 2020, having started in 2016. Alexandra then pursued a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics at Arizona State University, which they are expected to complete in 2021. In addition, they obtained certifications in Python for Genomic Data Science from The Johns Hopkins University in July 2020 and Introduction to Kotlin from Udemy in June 2020.
