Jamie Walters has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. In 2007, they were a Research Assistant at Chamelic, where they developed pH, temperature and Infrared responsive microcapsule structures. In 2008, they became a Researcher at the University of Cambridge, where they led the development of detection chemistry for a new diagnostic technology platform and developed a fast-response ion-selective spherical optical sensor (optrode). In 2014, they became a Researcher at ESPCI. In 2015, they became the CEO and Co-founder of Calyxia, an international and industrial company that designs and manufactures a transformative portfolio of advanced and sustainable microcapsule products.
Jamie Walters completed a Nanotechnology Bsc (First-class honours) at the University of Leeds Centre for Molecular Nanoscience from 2004 to 2008. After that, they pursued a Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology PhD at the University of Cambridge Institute of Biotechnology, Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from 2008 to 2012.
