Pedro Santos

Pedro Santos has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Starting in 1999, they served as an Officer in the Portuguese Army until 2008. Pedro then transitioned to the field of Information Security and Data Protection, working as an Information Security Management System specialist at the Câmara Municipal de Portimão from February 2008 to September 2020. Afterward, they held the position of Data Protection Officer until September 2022. In 2018, Pedro Santos worked as a Consultant at RevelaRegras. Additionally, they are currently serving as the President of the Technological Commission at APDPO Portugal, starting in October 2022.

Pedro Santos obtained a Licenciatura degree in Ciências Jurídicas - Solicitadoria from Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão - Instituto Politécnico de Beja during the years 2020 to 2023. Pedro also pursued a Pós-Graduação Avançada em Direito da Proteção de Dados from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa from 2020 to 2021.

In their earlier education, Pedro Santos completed a Mestre degree in Engenharia de Segurança Informática from Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão - Instituto Politécnico de Beja from 2011 to 2014. Pedro also holds a Mestre degree in Engenharia Informática from Universidade de Coimbra, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, Pedro Santos obtained a Licenciado degree in Engenharia Informática from Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão de Viseu between the years 2001 and 2007.

Furthermore, Pedro Santos pursued studies in Engenharia de Sistemas e Informática from Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra from 1995 to 2000.

Pedro Santos has also obtained several certifications including Lead Auditor in Information Security Management Systems based on ISO/IEC 27001:2013 from TÜV SÜD in November 2022 and Lead Implementer in Information Security Management Systems based on ISO/IEC 27001:2013 from TÜV SÜD in June 2019. Pedro also holds a CERTIFICADO DE COMPETÊNCIAS PEDAGÓGICAS from IEFP, which they obtained in February 2006.
