Marie Garcia Melli

Marie Garcia Melli has extensive work experience in the education sector. Marie started their career as an AmeriCorps*VISTA/Outreach Coordinator at the Corporation for National and Community Service in 2004. Marie then worked as a Field Deputy and later became the Chief of Staff at the Los Angeles Unified School District from 2005 to 2007. Marie then moved on to The Education Trust, where they served as a Government Affairs and Communications Associate and later as the National Organizations Liaison from 2007 to 2011. Marie then joined 50CAN as the Director of New Site Development from 2011 to 2012.

Marie's career continued with The Broad Center, where they held the role of Associate Director for The Broad Superintendents Academy from 2013 to 2014, and later became the Deputy Director of the same academy from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, they became an Independent Consultant and worked in that role until 2018.

Most recently, Marie joined Cambiar Education as the Director in 2018.

Marie Garcia Melli obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 2000 to 2004.
