John Mead

John Mead has a solid background in engineering and leadership roles, with experience spanning from 1990 to present. John started their career as a Software Engineer at SynOptics Communications, where they worked until 1994. From 1994 to 1998, they served as a SW Engineering Manager at Bay Networks. In 1998, John joined Nortel as Director of Engineering and remained in that role until 2009. John then joined Avaya, first as a Director of Engineering from 2009 to 2012, and later as a Senior Director of Engineering from 2011 to 2017. Since 2017, John has been working at Cambium Networks, first as a Senior Director of Engineering until 2023, and currently as the VP of Engineering - Switching Solutions.

John Mead received their Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara between 1981 and 1986. Prior to that, they attended Foothill Highschool in Pleasanton, CA, graduating with a High School degree between 1977 and 1981.
