Joaquin Lopez Vila serves as the CEO of BIDONS EGARA SL since June 1990 and is currently a member of the Executive Committee and a vocal for Sustainability at Cambra de Comerç de Terrassa, serving from November 2023 to 2027. Since February 2005, Joaquin has been a member of the Advisory Council for the Bidons Egara Chair of Retinitis Pigmentosa at Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche, established by BIDONS EGARA S.L. The Chamber of Commerce of Terrassa was founded in 1886. With more than 100 years of experience is the second oldest Chamber of Commerce in Spain. Along its 120 years of history, the Chamber is an organisation in permanent evolution in order to meet their members demands. Terrassa is a city of 200.000 inhabitants located about 30 km from Barcelona, with a very important industrial and entrepreneurial tradition in the heart of Catalonia, one of the most dynamic economic region in North-East Spain. 31.174 business are members of our Chamber, most of them family owned companies with a deep rooted entrepreneurial culture. The Chamber of Commerce of Terrassa headquarters is located in Terrassa covering an area of more than 300.000 inhabitants distributed throughout the area including its 12 cities. Some of them, enjoy an important industrial status among the Catalan business community such as Castellbisbal, Rubi, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Terrassa, Vacarisses and Viladecavalls. In order to aproach to our companies, the Chamber has set two branches located in two nearby industrial cities (Rubi and Sant Cugat del Vallès). Our aims are: To represent the interests of the Terrassa’s business community in the short, medium and long term. To promote development in Terrassa’s Economic area. To supply services such as: training, international commerce, entrepreneurial promotion, information and consulting. Our professional team are 48 qualified and experienced professionals who are specialised in different work areas. They are responsible for conducting the Chamber's activities. This dynamic team closely co-operates with our own network of more than 80 experienced freelance professionals, among trainers and consultants. We have also developed 3 expertise areas, including our own successful methodology programmes on: - Internationalization of SMEs. - Managerial training. - Start up consultancy.
