Head of Technology at Cambri

Roman Nikolaev has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Roman currently holds the position of Head of Technology at Cambri since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Cambri as a Software Engineering Team Lead from September 2021 to August 2022, and as a Senior Software Engineer from April 2021 to September 2021.

Before joining Cambri, Roman held a lead developer role at Topcon Positioning Group from September 2017 to April 2021. In this position, they worked on various web and desktop solutions, served as a team technical leader and individual contributor, defined project architecture, coached developers, and communicated with internal stakeholders. Roman also organized the scrum process as a scrum master and led the department's architectural efforts.

From December 2014 to September 2017, Roman worked at Trimble Inc. as a Software Engineer Team Lead. In addition to their software engineering responsibilities, they performed tasks of a team leader for a team of three, including Scrum master duties and other responsibilities required by company processes.

Roman has also worked at Omegawave as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2013 to November 2014. In this role, they collaborated with the research department on improving algorithms for physiological signal analysis, developed program tools for research and data analysis, created integration level testing framework, and developed web application functionalities.

Prior to Omegawave, Roman worked at Tekla as a Software Engineer from May 2011 to May 2013, and at LG Electronics as a Project Leader from January 2010 to April 2011, and as a Software Engineer from August 2008 to December 2009. Roman also gained experience at Genesis Microchip as a Software Engineer from June 2006 to July 2008.

Throughout their career, Roman has demonstrated their expertise in software engineering, team leadership, project management, and technical architecture.

Roman Nikolaev attended Petrozavodsk State University (PetrSU) from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science. In September 2018, they also earned a certification in Convolutional Neural Networks from Coursera.
