Pamela Cooper has a diverse work experience in the publishing industry. Pamela started their career in 1975 as a Sales Representative at McGraw-Hill Education, where they increased sales in their territory and gained experience in marketing and market research. Pamela then served as an Administrative/Developmental Editor at Charles E. Merrill, where they made significant contributions to the geology and chemistry textbook market. At Science Research Associates, they worked as an Acquisitions Editor, specializing in computer science and successfully marketed several titles. Pamela then joined Capital City Press as a Sales Representative, where they secured new clients and proposed digital-based programs. Following that, they worked at Banta as a Sales Representative, where they researched new opportunities and persuaded clients to switch to digital programs. Pamela then moved to Brown & Benchmark Publishing as a Senior Marketing Manager, responsible for marketing health and physical education textbooks, as well as managing inventory and attending conventions. Pamela Cooper obtained their Diploma in College Prep from Crystal Lake Central High School from 1968 to 1971. Following their high school education, they attended Lawrence University from 1971 to 1975, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Geology.
