Pauline Holroyd has a diverse and extensive work experience. Pauline started their career as the European HR Director at Kimberly-Clark, where they implemented various initiatives such as reorganizing sales and marketing and introducing global talent management. Pauline then worked at BAA as the Gatwick Airport HR Director and later as the HR and Public Affairs Director, leading transformation and modernization efforts. After that, they served as the Group HRD at Monarch Travel Group, focusing on improving trade union relations and employee engagement. Pauline later joined Aviva UK as the HR Director, leading the sale and separation of RAC from Aviva. Pauline also served as the Group HR Director at the Post Office, overseeing the organization's transition to independence. Pauline also has experience as a Managing Partner at Human Resourcefulness Ltd and Quo-Change Consulting, where they helped businesses deliver exceptional client service and reduce costs through organizational design and employee engagement. Currently, they hold the position of Group Human Resources Director at Network Rail.

Pauline Holroyd attended Christleton High School from 1975 to 1982, where they received their 4 A and 10 GCSEs. Following that, they pursued a degree in English language and literature at the University of Hull from 1982 to 1985, earning a BA hons. In 1990, they enrolled at the Institute of People Management, completing their studies in 1992. Later, from 1995 to 1997, Pauline Holroyd attended The University of Leeds, where they obtained an MBA.
