After graduating in 2005, they enrolled at Boğaziçi University and pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Molecular Biology, which they completed in 2010. Ibrahim'sacademic journey continued at The University of Göttingen, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Biology from 2011 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Ibrahim obtained additional certifications. In October 2016, they completed a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) course at GMP-Kurs Thomas Beer und Tobias Halfpap GbR. In April 2013, they also obtained a certification in "Media and public relations for academia: How research gets into the spotlight" from GOLIN WISSENSCHAFTSMANAGEMENT.
