Ibrahim Cicek

In 2011, they began working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, where they likely supported the instruction of graduate-level courses.

Also in 2011, Ibrahim started their PhD studies at Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, where they worked as a PhD student until 2015. Following their PhD, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the same institute from 2015 to 2017.

In 2017, Ibrahim transitioned to the industry and joined Illumina as a Technical Applications Scientist. These positions involved providing technical support and training to customers using Illumina's technologies. Ibrahim worked at Illumina until 2023.

From 2023 onwards, they joined Biomodal as a Field Application Scientist.

Throughout their career, Ibrahim Cicek has accumulated expertise in biophysics, genetics, and technical applications, and has brought their experience from academia to industry.

Ibrahim Cicek began their education in 1997 at Istanbul (Erkek) Lisesi, where they obtained a German Abitur Diploma and High School Diploma. During their time there, they focused their studies on English, Science, and Mathematics. After graduating in 2005, they enrolled at Boğaziçi University and pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Molecular Biology, which they completed in 2010. Ibrahim'sacademic journey continued at The University of Göttingen, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Biology from 2011 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Ibrahim obtained additional certifications. In October 2016, they completed a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) course at GMP-Kurs Thomas Beer und Tobias Halfpap GbR. In April 2013, they also obtained a certification in "Media and public relations for academia: How research gets into the spotlight" from GOLIN WISSENSCHAFTSMANAGEMENT.
