Stefan Galander

Stefan Galander is an experienced operations analyst currently working at Cambridge Innovation Capital since May 2023. Previously, Stefan served as a Newton Scholar in the Newton Venture Program, contributing to initiatives aimed at diversifying venture investment backgrounds from September to December 2023. As an investment associate at Sana Capital from April 2022 to April 2023, Stefan focused on early-stage companies dedicated to healing the world, managing deal flow and supporting due diligence for various investments. Prior experience includes serving as a reviews editor for The Company of Biologists from February 2019 to February 2022, overseeing peer review and developmental editing for multiple scientific journals, and holding the position of research associate at the Wellcome Centre for Cell Biology for nearly eight years, where Stefan conducted significant research in DNA and RNA biology. Educational qualifications include a PhD, MRes, and BSc (Hons) in Cell Biology from The University of Edinburgh, in addition to an Abitur from Gerhart Hauptmann Gymnasium.
