Rachel Heyes has a diverse work experience history with a range of roles in various companies. Rachel has worked as a Co-Chair for the Disabled Staff Network at The University of Manchester since January 2023. Additionally, they have served as a Learning Technologist, Project Administrator, and Leadership in Education Awards Programme (LEAP) Administrator at the same university. Rachel has also worked as an Exam Invigilator at the university.

Rachel Heyes has a diverse education history. Rachel obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Screen Studies from Liverpool John Moores University from 1999 to 2002. Rachel later pursued a Master's degree in Film Studies from the University of Central Lancashire from 2005 to 2006.
Rachel also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education at The University of Manchester from 2019 to 2021. Additionally, they acquired a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from The University of Huddersfield from 2008 to 2010.
Rachel has also pursued various certifications. Rachel became an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2019 and obtained the Associate CMALT certification from the Association for Learning Technology in 2020. Rachel also holds certifications in project management and digital capabilities.
Outside of their formal education, Rachel attended Tameside College in 2013-2014 for photography and Salford City College in 2012 for dog/pet/animal grooming. Furthermore, in 2012, they obtained the QTLS certification from The Education and Training Foundation. In the future, Rachel plans to become a Senior Fellow at Advance HE in 2023.
