Nicholas Hamwey

Nicholas Hamwey has a diverse work experience starting from 2012. Nicholas began their career as an intern at JBG Educational Group, where they created study plans and tutored students. Afterward, they joined The Hartford in 2013 as a Director & Assistant Actuary, where they specialized in developing predictive models and gained experience in machine learning techniques. In 2019, they transitioned to DataRobot as a Data Scientist, focusing on delivering AI solutions for insurance companies and other industries. Nicholas worked closely with various departments, identifying high-value use cases and implementing predictive models. Currently, Nicholas is working as the Actuarial Director at Cambridge Mobile Telematics, where they are responsible for directing actuarial activities.

Nicholas Hamwey obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Statistics & Actuarial Science with a minor in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Prior to their university education, they attended Acton Boxborough from 2006 to 2009. In 2018, Nicholas Hamwey also obtained the certification of Fellow in the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) from the Casualty Actuarial Society.
