Luciana H.

Research Scientist at Cambridge Quantum Computing

Luciana H. has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2004. Luciana started as a Software Engineer at Consoft Consultoria e Sistemas, where they developed rule-based algorithms for fraud detection and improved fraud detection rates. Luciana then moved to Qlik, where they developed business intelligence and data integration applications. In 2010, they began working as a Research Assistant at UCLA Social Sciences Division, where they studied correlations between various socioeconomic factors. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at Laboratoire Kastler-Brossel, building and preparing an experiment to study cavity quantum electrodynamics. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Visiting Research Student at Imperial College London, where they worked on a generalisation to the quantum world of a well-known family of classical algorithms. From 2015 to 2019, they were a PhD Researcher in Quantum Computation at UCL, where they identified properties of quantum systems that allow for a computational advantage of quantum computers over their classical counterparts. Finally, they are currently a Research Scientist at Cambridge Quantum Computing, where they are developing Quantum Algorithms for statistical methods.

Luciana H. completed their Bachelor of Science in Physics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 2004. Luciana then went on to pursue their Master of Science in Quantum Optics from Université Paris-Saclay in 2012 and completed it in 2014. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Quantum Computing from UCL in 2019.
