Farzad Forughi has held a number of positions in the research and development field since 2010. Farzad began their career as a Research Assistant at Sharif University of Technology in 2010 and then moved on to become the CTO of Babataher Publications in 2013. In 2014, they began working as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia, where they worked until 2019. Farzad then joined Coanda Research and Development as a Project Manager and Research Scientist, and most recently, they were appointed Lead Research and Development Scientist at Sanctuary AI in 2021.
Farzad Forughi received their High School Diploma from the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (Sampad) in 2005 after studying Mathematics and Physics from 2001-2005. Farzad then went on to receive their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology from 2010-2013. Finally, Farzad Forughi completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia from 2014-2018.
